What could be one of the best underdog/comeback stories in recent times is being criticised even before it’s being released – and this time it isn’t mainstream film. It’s Netflix’s upcoming series, Insatiable, which is about an overweight woman who suddenly finds herself slim and petite and its revenge time for her.

This could be one of the first web series that’s seeing a crowd created petition. But the executives are defending the series. the Vice President of Original Content, Cindy Holland, recently spoke at an event, and said that criticism of body shaming is embedded in the series itself. She said that the ultimate message of the series was that everyone should be comfortable with themselves.

The series stars Dallas Roberts, Debby Ryan, Christopher Gorham, Erinn Westbrook, Michael Provost, Sarah Colonna, Kimmy Shields, Irene Choi, Arden Myrin and Alyssa Milano.
