Valentine’s Day celebrations are over, but Netflix is still playing on that theme albeit with a tinge of horror. It has released the announcement video of its upcoming series The Innocents and it will definitely give you the chills.
It is the story of June (Sorcha Groundshell) and Harry (Percelle Ascott), two teenagers who run away from their repressive family lives, with nothing but each other and a lot of emotional baggage.
They are thrown into an extraordinary journey of self-discovery that derails their innocent dream. As per a description by Netflix, “Secrets kept from them by their respective parents test their love to breaking point; and the extraordinary gift they possess unleashes powerful forces intent on dividing them forever.”
The announcement video is obviously scary, yet is high on romantic fervor. The eight-episode UK drama series is created by Hania Elkington and Simon Duric, and is produced by New Pictures. Chris Croucher serves as producer. Farren Blackburn is executive producer of the series and director. In India, Netflix released its first Indian Original Love Per Square Foot.
