Taking its shocking streak forward, Netflix has come out with Alias Grace an adaptation of Margaret Atwood novel of the same name. The trailer of the six hour series is out and leaves you wanting for more. The series will premiere on November 3.
Based on the true story of Grace Marks, an Irish-Canadian maid who along with stable hand James McDermott, was convicted of murders of her employers in 1843. The trailer starts giving a brief insight into the lives of poor people in Canada.
The confusion starts with Grace claiming to have amnesia and thus having no recollection of the act. Also, there are moments of abuse. Overall, the trailer of this murder mystery is nail-biting.
Sarah Gadon as Grace is as real as she can be. Edward Holcraft plays the doctor assigned to evaluate her mental state. The series is directed by Mary Harron and written by Sarah Polley. Two episodes of the series premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
