Netflix is not just wooing the audiences with its appealing and unique content, but its app is also hitting the right note. Previously, the spot was held by Spotify in 2016. In all, mobile users spent nearly US$60 billion in apps during 2017 on the App Store and Google play.
As per data collated by Sensor Tower Store Intelligence, Netflix’s subscriber revenue from the mobile data was approximately US$510 million in 2017, representing a huge year-over-year increase of 138% from $215 million users spent in the app during 2016.
The streaming giant was also the highest grossing non-game app on Apple’s store, and followed HBO Now on Google Play.
