Netflix announces animation anthology Love Death + Robots

  • David Fincher comes to Netflix with Love Death + Robots

Netflix is jumping on the animation bandwagon with the series, Love Death + Robots that has a pulsating trailer – it’s available on YouTube now. According to the YouTube description, it’s about sentient dairy products, werewolf soldiers, robots gone wild, garbage monsters, cyborg bounty hunters, alien spiders and bloodthirsty demons from hell – all the nouns and adjectives that make for a great, entertaining sci-fi series.

The series hits the streaming platform on March 15. The trailer doesn’t reveal the people behind the series, but earlier reports have said that this is a David Fincher project – that already makes it streaming gold. The series is co-produced by the Deadpool director Tim Miller.

Netflix has yet to unleash their behemoth budget on animation projects, and this is a good start. With eighteen short films made by some of the best directors in the world, Netflix is quickly getting the first mover’s advantage when it comes to streaming animation.
