Hansal Mehta, who earlier did an excellent job with his film ‘Aligarh’, is all set to work on a web series that’s based on the life and times of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, one of the most controversial personalities from India.

Because of the controversies surrounding Netaji’s life and times, members of the Bose family are worried about whether the web series will portray the right elements from his life and whether they will do justice to it.

The story and the script of the web series is currently kept under wraps and Hansal Mehta claims that the script is well researched. However, Krishna Bose, the wife of Netaji’s nephew Sisir Bose has gone on record to say that she has no information of the web series. In an earlier media interaction, she said that when Shyam Benegal made ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero’, they had carried on research on his ideals and work. Other members of the Bose family are intrigued about how the series will turn out. Piali Ray, daughter of Roma Roy, the oldest surviving member of the Bose family has confirmed to media outlets that she’s worried about how the controversies surrounding Netaji’s life, disappearance and death will be shown.

The series is set to stream in November.
