Whenever we talk about royalty, the things that come to our mind are the very epitome of opulence and grandeur. Its living life king size as we are left in awe by just seeing the sheer size of their palaces, the culture, traditions and celebrations that have been passed down to the generations. To come to think of a royal story with a lot of fun, wits and twists rather than much seriousness in it is next to impossible. Well, The Screen Patti is here to change perceptions with their latest sketch, ‘Nawab Sahab: Khoj Ka Bojh’, in association with Pan Vilas– Pan Masala.

Featuring Shivankit Singh Parihar & Chote Miyan, the sketch revolves around two characters Nawab LX and Lallan. This legacy of inventing must be continued by Nawab LX at the cost of losing his titleThe pressure on the Nawab is tremendous as he must keep up with his ancestors, who brought life-changing inventions out of their sheer passion because, shauk badi cheez hai. The twists arise in the story when all inventions from electronic pen, Adi Deo which almost made Lallan run for his life, to the machine which helps knowing people’s ‘Mann ki baat’ simply don’t work out.

This boisterously funny sketch will make you think otherwise about the royalties, gharanas, nawabs and situations that will have you rolling on the floor.

Commenting on the sketch Shivankit– who has appeared in various TSP sketches says, In today’s world we see that people have become intolerant. They lack the ability to laugh at facts and take them personally, creating a hostile environment for humor. With this sketch we have tried to shed light on the importance of humor for peace and brotherhood. Nobody likes to be lectured and this is a humorous take on an issue to present it to the crowd.”
