The Amazon Prime web series Mirzapur is the most anticipated web series coming out of India, after Sacred Games. The trailer for the web series is out now and promises a thrilling ride in the Badlands of India, with almost every actor breaking their brackets.

So, we have Ali Fazal turning into a gangster, Vikrant Massey as the younger brother of a man who’s turning into a gangster, Divyendu Sharma as the younger brother of a mafia don and Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, the don himself.

The story’s delightfully simple – two sons of an upright lawyer clash with the don’s younger brother and therefore the don – creating the battleground for grey vs grey. Agreed, the story isn’t the freshest, but Gurmeet Singh and Karan Anshuman seem to be hellbent on creating a whole new story out of a well-known concept.
Interestingly, apart from Pankaj Tripathi, the other cast is not known for wielding guns and causing havoc. We also have Shweta Tripathi, she from Haramkhor, shooting at people. The other women characters are depicted by Shriya Pilgaonkar and Rasika Duggal. Shriya Pilgaonkar was last seen in 13 Mussoorie, a thriller web series that’s a mystery about a serial killer killing off people in a scenic hill station.
The trailer is an intense ride, with guns, bombs and bloodshed happening all over the place.
