Amazon Prime is coming up with its second web series for that is India based – Breathe – which stars Madhavan, Amit Sadh, Sapna Pabbi and others.
The trailer, dropped at the press conference today, Madhavan revealed several facts about the series.
He said, “I was in the US when I was offered the series. When I heard that it was a web series, I almost refused. I only agreed because I had worked with the producer, (Abutantia). I know the kind of work they do, and therefore I agreed.”.
And what could be a sea change from Madhavan’s earlier thought, during the press conference, Madhavan continued,
“The last two episodes could be the best content that we have seen in any web series on any platform. I can humbly, and with complete confidence say that this is by far the best work that I have done till date.”
Of course, Maddy fans are in for a great time, the trailer looks great and the series looks promising. This is a unique concept and probably a first for the Indian audiences. Madhavan plays a father whose son needs a particular blood group. Peculiarly, people with that blood group start dying. A flawed police officer pins his suspicions on him. What happens next forms the rest of the series.
Speaking about the experience of shooting the series, Madhavan revealed:
“The shooting was for 47 days. The writing itself took at least 300 days and only then, after all the nitty gritty was cleared, we decided to go ahead and shoot.”
He also revealed that the Hindi version of the series has not been dubbed and the director has used what’s known as ‘sync sound’, which means that the product has all the dialogues as the characters have spoken it on the sets – one another first for a flagship web series.
