Netflix’s 22 July trailer will knock your socks off

The story of Anders Behring Breivik and the Norway attacks is coming to Netflix in the web series, 22 July. Netflix released the trailer of the web series and it promises to be a chilling picture of the terror that two lone wolf terrorists wrecked on an entire country. The Norway attacks are judged to be the most lethal attacks in Norway since the 2nd World War. Paul Greengrass has directed the series, based on the book by the Asne Seierstad, One of Us.  Greengrass has earlier given us films like United 93, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, Jason Bourne, Green Zone and Captain Phillips.

The film will first premiere at the Venice Film Festival, playing the TIFF.  There has been another film, U- July 22, directed by Erik Poppe which captured the essence of the massacre. That film spoke more about the summer camp massacre. The film was made after interaction with some of the survivors and was selected to compete for he Golden Bear inn the main competition section at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.

This is one of the few films and documentaries that Netflix is streaming, related to true crime. One of the most successful web series that Netflix as now, apart from the superhero ones is Wild, Wild, Country, which tells about the inside world of Osho Rajneesh’s cult.
