Netflix is diversifying and how. The streaming giant amazes us with the varied content it has been putting together. It has now ordered a weekly show hosted by actor Joel McHale, who is well known for the sitcom Community and The Soup that aired weekly from July 2004 until December 2015 (quite a run).

This weekly show, titled The Joel McHale Show Starring Joel McHale will premiere on February 18 and have 13 episodes. It is an unscripted pop culture-gouging weekly talk show that will stream for half-hour. The show will have celebrity guests and comedy sketches, apart from insane video clips from the worldwide realms of TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture, and every corner of the internet. A new wepisode will be shot every Thursday and then aired the following Sunday. Besides this, Netflix already has a general interview monthly show with David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

Talking of The Joel McHale show, Joel will also executive produce the show along with K.P. Anderson, who was also an executive producer for The Soup. Also coming from The Soup family are writers Brad Stevens and Boyd Vico, who are executive producers too.

Apart from that, Netflix is also gearing up to stream a Narcos-style The Mechanism on March 23. TheDigitalHash.com has already reported that Stranger Things star Shannon Purser will be seen in a Netflix Movie Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, which will also star Chrissy Metz, RJ Cyler, Kristine Froseth, Noah Centineo, Alan Ruck and Lea Thompson. It is a rom-com with a dash of fun and intrigue.

In the foreseeable future, Netflix users can stream Altered Carbon on February 2. This science fiction is based on a book by the same name written by Richard K. Morgan. The first season will have 10 episodes.
