Irrfan Khan to make his web series debut with AIB show The Ministry

Irrfan Khan is known for his intense performances that reek of sarcasm and AIB has now evolved from making comedy videos to ones that are a biting commentary on issues that India faces. The two have collaborated on some videos earlier and now, they are coming together for a 10-part web series titled The Ministry.  The series will stream on Amazon Prime as an Amazon exclusive.

The buzz is that the web series will be in line with the sarcastic commentary on the political scenario that were quite popular in the late eighties and the nineties. Jaspal Bhatti is the pathbreaker of this kind of ‘against-the-system’ series with his Ulta Pulta, Flop Show and Pankaj Kapur revived this concept with his Office Office. It’s will be interesting to see how the new-age actors and script-writers will do it.

Khamba had earlier confirmed that they are doing a web series with Amazon Prime, but it isn’t clear whether he was speaking about this web series or something else.  You can read our coverage about that news here:
