Netflix is taking a turn from the superhero, sci-fi and other genres that’s spilling over the streaming platform with I’m Thinking of Ending Things. The novel will be adapted into a Netflix project by Oscar winner Charlie Kaufman. The book talks about a person who’s trying to come to terms with solitude. The book is pegged as a psychological thriller/terror – making it an addition to the other weird concept projects that Netflix has for a while. The book has been published in 17 territories and has received favourable reviews.
Anthony Bregman and Stefanie Azpiazu will be producing the series and Kaufman will co-produce. Kaufman has earlier worked with Bregman for films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Snyecdoche, New York and Human Nature. Earlier, Kaufman adapted The Orchid Thief into the film Adaptation. He has also worked on bringing Chuck Bairn’s memoir, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind to the screen.
