Speaking on her deep-rooted connection with Mussoorie, she revealed, “When I was 16, I was one of the winners of the ITC Young Authors contest and my story was published as a part of an anthology of stories, edited by Ruskin Bond called ‘Post Box number 90’. Although he was unable to attend the ceremony, I had grown up reading his stories and books that he has written. I have experienced Mussoorie through his writings, the way he has described and talks about being in nature, is entirely because of his stories.”
“Eventually, when I was older and was performing in Delhi around four years ago, I decided to go and meet him personally. I visited him at his house and it was just lovely. We chatted about many things including his books, the hills, nature and a lot more. It was more wonderful, because I got a chance to go back to this incredible place due to my show 13 Mussoorie” she further added.
Shriya has turned many heads with her performance in multiple films, advertisements, plays and also as a director and producer.
