Katrina Kaif is a busy actor. She’s got Aamir Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ and ‘Zero’ with Shah Rukh Khan, but she’s already talking about future projects. In a media interaction with a popular daily, she said that she might look at working in a web series if she’s presented a great script.
The streaming platform has evolved since last year. From being a platform where content producers put up experimental cinema, it has become a systematic content consumption platform with the big streaming platforms focusing on India.
If someone can excite Katrina enough to sign up for a web series or a short film, it will be casting coup. After Richa Chaddha, Surveen Chawla, Neena Gupta, Sushmita Mukherjee and others, she becomes the next well-known female actor to make her foray into the world of streaming entertainment.
Recently, Katrina Kaif’s sister, Isabella made her foray in Indian media by signing up with Lakme India as a their Lakme Face. There has been noise since a long time that other members of the Kaif family would be joining the Bollywood film industry soon – but that’s not happened since at least a decade. With web series and short films becoming the norm, it might be possible that not just Katrina, but the other sisters also think of acting in Indian short films and web series.
