When Inside Edge released last year, there were constant speculations and comparisons that the character Vayu Raghavan, played by Tanuj Virwani has been inspired by Yuvraj Singh. While its Associate Producer Gurmeet Singh denied being inspired by real characters in an exclusive interview with TheDigitalHash.com, here’s better news that we have for you.
Yuvraj, nicknamed Yuvi, has considered the idea of working in the web series’ new season depending on his availability for the web series’ shoot. While we are happy with this news, it is Angad Bedi who actually requested Yuvraj Singh to give some thought to this idea.
The second season of Inside Edge is expected to be shot and released in this year itself. Its director Karan Anshuman is elated with the thought of Yuvraj Singh starring in this cricket drama that streams on Amazon Prime Video. If all works out well, Yuvraj will be playing himself in the series and may be part of four webisodes of the series.
The girl fans of cricketers may also have some more ‘good news’, several other cricketers are being approached for cameo appearances.
Inside Edge stars Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Tanuj Virwani, Angad Bedi, Sayani Gupta, Sanjay Suri and many others. The first season of the series marked Amazon Prime’s first Indian original attempt. And what is commendable is that this attempt was very successful as it was one of the most watched content for Amazon Prime Video.
This week itself, Amazon Prime Video is looking at a new web series to offer to the Indian audiences. R Madhavan’s Breathe is a trilingual web series that will stream on January 26. It also stars Amit Sadh, Sapna Pabbi and Neena Kulkarni.
