It was a delight for Feluda fans to know that a web series based on the famous Bengali detective will soon be streaming live. But the series has landed in trouble as Sandip Ray, son of Feluda’s creator Satyajit Ray, has objected to the web series to be streamed on Addatimes.com.

Apparently, Sandip had sold the rights of 35 Feluda stories to Shahriar Shakil of Kandy Productions Ltd, to produce a TV series in Bangladesh, on the pre-condition that it would not be aired in India. Addatimes.com recently uploaded a teaser of the web series, which has irked Sandip.

While Rajiv Mehra, Founder of Addatimes.com, bought the rights from Shahriar for the digital series, Sandip is keen on going legal.

The Digital Hash has already reported that the web series will star Parambrata Chatterjee and Riddhi Sen. Hope this issue is resolved and we can gorge on some interesting Feluda stories soon.
