The Fast and Furious franchise is one of the biggest in Hollywood. Interestingly, the series has yet to become a franchise because all it has is the films. However, that might change soon. Now, there’s this announcement about Netflix is in talks with Dreamworks to turn it into an animated series. There’s some strong reason for this buzz.

DreamWorks has already collaborated with Netflix for 14 animated series since the past five years. The series is said to be around Tony Toretto, a teen cousin of Dom, who’s recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league that’s looking for world domination.

It all make sense. The film franchise had some of the most jaw-dropping stunts and would be perfect fodder for a cool, teenage-centric web animated series.

With this, Netflix will have on its hand another big title, and a spin-off of one of the most loved franchises ever. Dream Works has already given Netflix animated series like Trollhunters, Spirit Riding Free, All Hail King Julien and others.
