Prashant Shetty, who has coached Indian Under-19 and other cricket teams, has been hired for the Indian web series sports drama ‘Inside Edge’.

After Angad Bedi, Prashant Shetty is the latest name from the cricketing fraternity to join the Indian web series ‘Inside Edge’. Shetty will coach the actors on the basic nuances of the game so they can get an edge over their characters. Prashant’s character in the series is named ‘Vayu Raghvan’.

The series feature stars like Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Sanjay Suri, Angad Bedi, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virwani, Sarah Jane Dias and Amit Sial.

Directed by Karan Anshuman, the 10-part series will be released in more than 200 countries on 10 July.

And as another member of the cricketing fraternity joins the show, rumours abound are that the BCCI is worried about how the show is portraying the Indian cricket franchise. While the series is fictional, even the trailers show that some of the incidents seem inspired from real life – even though the cast and crew have repeatedly said that this is a fictional series.
