EPIC TV tried the streaming waters with their series like Dharmsankat and Dariba Diaries on Netflix. Now they have decided to go full-fledged with EPIC On. The streaming service offers subscriptions at 60 rupees per month – in line with Amazon Prime’s 499 per month.

By the looks of it, EPIC has done its homework before launching their service. It will offer sample of their shows for free without a paid subscription for seven days – much like ALTBalaji does.  The company will first launch it in India, Singapore and Australia. Later, EPIC series will reach US and the UK.

The buzz is that EPIC will also look at the monetizing their content with mobile carriers, both in India and abroad. Reliance Jio is already banking heavily on mobile content. This could very well begin a streaming content war of sorts.
