Ask around and you’ll know the one thing that puts off some audiences from the rap scene – rapstars speaking about themselves – how big they are, how misunderstood they are, and how they are going to be big, or are big anyway. The Indian rap scene has fortunately note had a lot many singers like this. One of the most successful ones, Divine, doesn’t necessarily talk about how big he is. Yo Yo Honey Singh was more about how booze and the high life is good for him. So, Emiway’s video that has a big Divine hangover is a novel experience for audiences.

Most of the lyrics are about he’s big, how people cannot contact him and how he’s there forever. We understand why he’s out of ‘sampark’ – communication. He is pictured in an underground cave and a desolate area – you don’t get a network there.

He is also part of the Zoya Akhtar directed series Gully Boys, an upcoming Bollywood musical drama. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

He then goes on to talk about how he’s struggled. Someone should tell Emiway that almost everyone – everyone who watches videos after they have launched on YouTube on their own are struggling/did struggle – so the lyrics aren’t so heart wrenching.
