Culture Machine has signed a content deal with streaming platform Amazon Prime Video India, to make its content available on the platform. Currently, Culture Machine houses five media brands including Being Indian, Blush, Put Chutney, Awesome Sauce and Viva – each with their own specific audiences.
Talking about this development, Sameer Pitalwalla, CEO and Co-Founder, Culture Machine said in a media interaction the company is also in talks with new platforms that are coming up and testing the viability of working with them. He also stated that the company is in talks with existing platforms. Culture Machine is looking to strengthen its media brands by adding new verticals.
Culture Machine caters to different audiences with its five existing brands. Being Indian focuses on youth whereas Blush and Awesome Sauce caters to women and food, respectively. Two of its brands cater to local audiences too. Put Chutney is targeted at Tamil audience whereas Viva is dedicated to the youth of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as well as the expat community. Sameer stated that there are plans for expansion in new markets, but didn’t divulge any details.
Culture Machine has created propriety technology Intelligence Machine and Video Machine for brands and content creators.
