Complaint filed against Nawazuddin Siddiqui for abusing Rajiv Gandhi for Sacred Games

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is part of the explosive web series Sacred Games on Netflix. The series is one of the most controversial ones to hit the Indian streaming scene, complete with frontal nudity, raw sex scenes and story arcs that are more insinuations and less creative takes.

And more particular story arc has raised the heckles of the Grand Old Party of India, Congress. In the narrative, it’s insinuated that the Shah Bano Case caused Ramayana to be broadcast in India. In of the dialogues, Ganesh Gaitonde, the character played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, says that the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, was a coward.

A case has been registered against Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Netflix and the producers of the series Sacred Games. The complainant, Rajeev Sinha, a contestant of the Indian National Congress from Kolkata has alleged that the character played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui is seen abusing the late Prime Minister and calling him a ‘pussy’.

The letter requests the police officers to lodge a FIR under the appropriate sections of the IT Act and IPC.
