There’s a dearth of films made on Indian politicians, but that’s changing with the directors having an option of web series to portray their ideas on the screen. One of the most mysterious individuals in Indian history, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose once again comes to screen in ALTBalaji’s Bose. Titled Bose: The Man, The Legend, The Mystery, the series is one of the first historical fiction series being made in postmodern India.

Director Pulkit says that he has read several biographies on Bose to understand the man and the mystique that surrounds him. The writer, Reshu Nath, has also gone on to say that any story on a person is sure to cause controversy.

However, it remains to be seen how ALTBalaji has treated the subject. While Netaji might be one of the greatest Indian freedom fighters ever, there is this niggling thing about him ready to confer with the Germans and the Russians to have them join the freedom struggle for India.
