In a time where we are busy reading about various Bollywood celebrities constantly making the digital switch, one Bollywood actress will have to wait to become a digital star. Bipasha Basu was supposed to make her debut with Rohan Sippy’s web series The Client, but the makers have apparently realised that the web series might be too risky for them. Sensing low profitability, the web series inspired by US series Scandal has now been shelved.

The series’ cost was estimated at 70 lakhs, which the makers didn’t foresee recovering with the web series. Earlier, Karan Singh Grover, Bipasha’s spouse, was left in a lurch for his digital venture. KSG, as he is popularly known, was to star in ALTBalaji’s web series Judaai and popular TV actress Palak Jain was his co-star. But Palak opted out of the project, thus delaying the shoot.
