Big Synergy is on a digital high. It will release 6-7 web series in 2018 for ALTBalaji, Netflix, Amazon, Vuclip, Applause Entertainment and Voot. It has produced Yo Ke Hua Bro for Voot, Bose Dead/Alive for ALTBalaji.
In the near future, this joint venture by Reliance MediaWorks and Phantom Films has an interesting production line up, which includes Sacred Games for Netflix, Kaushiki for Vuclip, Vishpuri for Amazon Prime Video and many more.
Further on the cards is a constant production of 8-9 web series every year. Buzz is that Big Synergy is also looking to create a series like Narcos. Budget wise, it is in tandem with its international counterparts, willing to spend Rs 1.5 crore for 7-8 episodes to Rs 30-50 crore budget. The entire Bose Dead/Alive web series has cost around Rs 10-20 crore.
TheDigitalHash.com has already reported that Kabir Khan has rumoredly spent 4 crore each on every episode of The Forgotten Army to stream on Amazon Prime. That’s roughly Rs 8 crores for the eight webisode series. Wonder if such figures will become a norm in the Indian digital space.
