South Actress Archanna Guptaa is making her digital debut in Hindi with a short film titled #MeToo. The short film is directed by Sunil Thadani, and is produced by Deepalakshmi Chabbria. The story revolves around a rape victim’s life, and her struggles. It is inspired by the #MeToo campaign on social media. The story talks about bravery to speak out about such incidence.
The #MeToo movement spread virally in October 2017 as a hashtag used on social media to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace. The phrase has been posted online many times with an accompanying personal story of sexual harassment or assault. Many celebrities have come forward and shared their stories of sexual violence.
Archanna will be seen paired with Sid Makkar in this short movie. She claims to have chosen the movie as she was very intimidated by the story and took no time to accept the offer.
