Apple has hinted at a big launch of their streaming service for the US. Rumours suggest that the service will have a bundled package of popular content services like Starz, HBO and Showtime as well as original content. The buzz currently is that Apple is looking to rope in the likes of M Night Shyamalan, Oprah Winfrey and Damian Chazelle for their original series.

There’s a lot of buzz around this product, with some already hailing it as the Netflix killer. After all, Apple has as much of investment juice as Netflix has, and that’s all good news for the streaming audience.

Most likely, this will not be an ‘Apple Only’ service. After all, Apple Music is available on all devices as well – whether it’s a PC or mobile. The kicker in this matter is pre-market tieups with smart devices, including smart tvs and mobile devices. There’s nothing confirmed about the price point, but industry point out that the sweet spot of $9.99 per month is still the go-to button for streaming services.
