Angelina Jolie’s film First They Killed My Father will be Cambodia’s submission to the Oscars under the Best Foreign Language. The Cambodia Oscar Selection Committee has made the selection official. The title is directed and co-written by Jolie. It tells the story of author and Human Rights activist Loung Ung’s life under the Khmer Rouge rule. The film tells Cambodia’s story since she was 5 years old.
