Netflix is all set to present a major comedy film to its subscribers to be helmed by Amy Poehler. Wine Country will have Amy take three roles – actor, director and producer.
Joining her as the star cast will be Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Maya Rudolph, Emily Spivey and Tina Fey. Having so many comedians on board might prove to be a tough nut/cakewalk for Amy in her feature film directorial debut. Wine Country has been scripted by Emily Spivey and Liz Cackowski. It tells the story of old friends visiting Napa for a 50th birthday celebration. Principal photography will begin toward the end of the month in Los Angeles and Napa.
The release date of this Netflix Original has not been confirmed yet. Netflix made the announcement on Twitter through a video wherein the cast is doing a musical post.
