Celebrated director Amole Gupte will soon come out with a short film on the plight of senior citizens, titled ‘Return Of One Idiot’. The 32 minute film was shot in early 2017 and the director plans to screen it at 6,000 educational institutions.

Buzz is that while promoting his 2012 venture One Idiot, Amole visited several old age homes and was moved by the plight of its inhabitants deserted by their families.

Return Of One Idiot will revolve around the character played by Bhargava ‘Bugs’ Krishna, who is looking for his best friend’s abandoned mother. Real stories like seniors driving cabs after being abandoned by their children have found a place in the short film.

Amole is currently busy promoting Sniff, which is Bollywood first kid’s action adventure film.
