Short films seem to be the ‘in thing’ to create awareness. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in an awareness short film very soon. The Mumbai Fire Brigade has roped in the superstar for four short films, to be played in theatres and also on television.

Mumbai has recently witnessed many fire accidents. The fire at Kamala Mills claimed 14 lives, while another at a Saki Naka shop claimed 12 lives. The move to make awareness short films is definitely a welcome one.

Amitabh will educate the citizens on how to survive a fire accident in public places such as theatres, restaurants, etc. He will also be talking about finding the fire exits and taking precautions while bursting crackers.

The short films will be released at the award ceremony function of the Fire Combat 360 Challenge on March 10. Around 32 firefighter teams, including four from Mumbai and 17 international teams from the UK, France, Portugal and Germany, will participate the combat challenge to be held in Worli on March 8-10.
