The series is based on the book by Wesley Lowrey titled They Can’t Kill Us All: Ferguson, Baltimore and a New Era in America’s Racial Justice Movement. The book was published in 2016 and speaks about decades of racially biased policing in specific neighbourhoods. There are a couple of executive producers for this series.
