Amazon has started its journey on the diversifying road. The trail is music and much progress has already being made. TheDigitalHash.com has already reported that it has been signing content deals with different music brands. So far, Amazon has four music deals in place which includes – Tips Music, Sony Music, Saregama and Zee Music Company.

And Amazon Prime is all set to stream a reality series on music. Based on a format appreciated in over 15 countries globally, The Remix is a 10-episode reality competition show where DJs and singers pair up to create remixes and compete for a big prize.

Every episode will have the DJ/singer pairs presenting their own version of a popular song. At the end of every performance, a panel of celebrity judges will choose who advances and who will be eliminated. Amazon Prime Video India has a line up of unscripted Originals for India, which includes three reality shows – Jestination Unknown, Comic Kaun (reportedly rechristened Comicstan) and The Remix being the third.

The Remix will be featuring some of the big names in the music industry. Singer Sunidhi Chauhan, music director Amit Trivdei and Nucleya an Indian DJ who is known for combining electronic dance music along with traditional Indian musical instruments and ambient sounds will be some of the judges on the show. This Amazon Original is produced by Grey Matter.

Amazon Prime gained a lot of attention for Breathe, which starred R Madhavan. You can read its review here.
