Amazon Prime Video signs content deal with Disney India

Amazon Prime Video is taking the tough competition from Netflix very seriously. Amazon has announced a content deal it has signed with Disney India for seven brand new upcoming international titles from Marvel and ABC. These shows will be available to Prime members in India immediately after they premiere in the US.

The seven shows include four Marvel series, including Inhumans and Runaways, that are already available to stream, as well as Cloak and Dagger and three ABC series including The Crossing, Station 19 and the already available show – Freeform’s Alone Together. Additionally, Prime members can watch complete seasons of international hit series, including Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Castle, Scandal and Scrubs.

Talking of Originals, Amazon Prime is gearing up to release The Remix, on March 9. The 10 webisode reality series will have the contestants explore different themes like ambient sounds, retro remixes, live instrumentation, sounds of India, global beats. One team will be crowned the winner of The Remix and the new faces of Indian music walking away as The Remix title winner and INR 50 lakhs.
