Amazon Prime gets serious about kids streaming battle

Forget the grown-ups, even the kids streaming scenario has turned into a battle-ground. Netflix has some interesting titles like Iron Man, Castlevania, and many more. The most prominent being the Birthdays On-Demand service. And Disney, obviously, will be coming with its own streaming service in 2019.

But Amazon is not far behind. It has tied up with Genius Brands International to debut Kid Genius Cartoons Plus a new channel that will target youngsters ranging in age from toddlers to tweens. It will be part of Amazon Channels; the suite of add-on channels available to subscribers of Amazon Prime The channel will cost $3.99 per month on top of the usual Prime membership, which costs $99 a year.

So titles like Baby Genius, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab and Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club will be streamed on Kid Genius Cartoons Plus. Apart from that non-Genius Brands titles like Dino Squad, Inspector Gadget, Carl Squared and Liberty’s Kids will also be available.
