Amazon India has done it again, fourth time to be precise. Amazon India has now signed a content deal with Tips Music for its upcoming music streaming service Prime Music, enabling it to offer 25,000 songs, primarily Bollywood songs, from the label to its customers.
The Tips deal also includes songs from the label’s upcoming releases. This is the fourth deal Amazon India has signed for Prime Music. TheDigitalHash.com has reported about Amazon signing deals with three other music labels – Sony Music, Saregama and Zee Music Company last month.
The ad-free music service is currently available to Echo customers in India on a preview basis. It will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers at no additional cost.
Besides adding more content on the music front, Amazon is also making sure its video entertainment promotion is breaking new ground.
As TheDigitalHash.com has reported earlier, Amazon Prime made its promotion debut in the Super Bowl game with the trailer of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. John Krasinski, The Office actor, plays Jack Ryan, the hero of Tom Clancy’s best-selling spy novels in the series.
Here’s hoping that Amazon keeps upping the ante with its subsequent series.
