Amazon Prime is looking to get more sports broadcasts. The buzz is that they might be looking to bid on streaming rights for the Premiere League. We told you earlier that the streaming platform tied up with the University of Michigan for an exclusive reality show. It was also looking to create a sports entertainment series with Tom Brady. Along the way, they also tied up with the Wolverine club for exclusive practice and game preparation videos. That documentary will feature Jim Harbaugh, the head football coach of the University of Michigan Wolverines. In 2016, Amazon tied up to stream tennis live with the ATP tournament.

From the India standpoint, Amazon could do a lot of good by tying up for cricket series. Currently, Hotstar is the only streaming platform that provides streaming cricket in India. It ramps up it’s game when the IPL or the World Cup season begins.
