Now, there’s news that ALTBalaji will be infusing around 500 crore into its business over three years, with an aim to double its subscriber base every year, which is already at 20 lakh customers. According to the CEO, Nachiket Pantvaidya, the channel will be investing around 150 crores each year, for a period of three years – mainly to increase their content.
ALTBalaji has come up with some explosive content since it launched last April. Their flagship series, The Test Case, starring Nimrat Kaur, was well received. Around Diwali, ALTBalaji had a slew of other web series, most popular among them was Ragini MMS Returns, which starred Karishma Sharma, Riya Sen and others. Since then, ALTBalaji has also released Bose: Dead/Alive, which brought Rajkummar Rao to the streaming scene.
With an infusion of crores per year, ALTBalaji now has it in them to come up with some entertaining and engaging content.
