ALTBalaji brings Campa Cola Compound controversy comes to streaming with ‘Home’

ALTBalaji has announced its next web series project, Home, which will be directed by Habib Faisal.  The series will be based on the true-life incidents that surrounded the Campa Cola compound controversy.

Habib Faisal is known for his films that talk about the vibrant Indian tone, films like Do Dooni Chaar and Daawat-E-Ishq.

If there’s one streaming channel that knows India has a diverse and varied current affairs, it’s ALTBalaji. Their content tackles some of the most well-known but little discussed instances in Indian history. After doing a series on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, they have now announced a web series that will tell people about the Campa Cola Case, one of the most important and controversial instances of legal battles in Mumbai’s history.

The Campa Cola case arises from the buildings in the Campa Cola Compound, which were built sometime around 1955 and were developed into residential areas in 1980. More than 20 years later, in 2005, the Supreme Court deemed part of these buildings illegal and ordered the top floors to be demolished.

In 2014, the Government, the legal institutions and the residents of the buildings in the Campa Cola compound are still at a stalemate.
